Information Security Solutions
Raytheon Launches Information Security Solutions (ISS)

Raytheon Oakley Systems is now part of the new Information Security Solutions product line within Raytheon’s Intelligence and Information Systems (IIS) business.

Information Security Solutions focuses on advanced development in information security systems to protect customers’ critical information and infrastructures from the most complex threats. Through Information Security Solutions, Raytheon combines its decades of experience in information assurance with Raytheon Oakley, the leader in insider threat protection, SI Government Solutions, a leading provider of proprietary software security solutions focused on vulnerability assessments for government, and other strategic assets.

“Through Information Security Solutions, we protect federal mission-critical information and infrastructures from attack, intrusion, disruption and compromise,” IIS President Michael D. Keebaugh said. “We also protect Fortune 500 customers from information breaches, fraud, theft and sabotage.”

Raytheon veteran Steve Hawkins leads ISS as vice president. Read more.

“The types of crimes and abuse associated with insider threats are significant; the most serious include espionage, sabotage, terrorism, embezzlement, extortion, bribery, and corruption. Malicious activities include an even broader range of exploits, such as copyright violations, negligent use of classified data, fraud, unauthorized access to sensitive information, and illicit communications with unauthorized recipients.”

“Combating the Insider Cyber Threat,” IEEE Security & Privacy

“For one set of investigations, 87 percent of identified intruders into DoD information systems were either employees or others internal to the organization. Basic sources of insider security problems are 1) maliciousness, 2) disdain of security practices, 3) carelessness, and 4) ignorance of security policy, security practices and proper information system use.”

“DoD Insider Threat Mitigation”

“The $7.2 billion in fraud a rogue trader carried out against French banking giant Société Générale wasn't an attack against a flawed operating system or application, the kind of threat enterprise IT shops are constantly warned about. Instead, security experts say the incident illustrates something potentially worse -- the damage that can ensue when a trusted insider with sinister ambitions learns the inner workings of the company network.

Data Discovery
Find Your Vital Enterprise Data, Then Secure It

Do you know where all the high-value, highly sensitive content is throughout your network? How can you protect your enterprise’s vital data if you don’t know where it is? Raytheon Oakley and Kazeon Systems have partnered to integrate Raytheon Oakley’s data leakage prevention, user activity monitoring, investigation and forensics capabilities with Kazeon’s eDiscovery platform to provide a single solution for insider threat protection. Kazeon automatically discovers data at rest and, if the electronically stored information matches a risk profile, moves sensitive data to a secure location for further monitoring.

Raytheon Oakley automatically fingerprints collected data to monitor its use on endpoints and its movement across the enterprise network. If uninformed users expose sensitive data, Raytheon Oakley detects the policy violation, notifies the user of the policy and reports the violation. When a malicious insider attempts to steal intellectual property or customer data, Raytheon Oakley can prevent the activity, block the process and lock down the desktop, alert the appropriate investigator, prioritize the incident by severity and capture indisputable visual evidence of the crime.

The solution is available now. Check it out here.

The Latest SureView and CoreView Capabilities

The just-released 6.0 versions of Raytheon Oakley’s endpoint solution, SureView, and network solution, CoreView, introduced new content monitoring capabilities, enhanced troubleshooting, diagnostic reporting, agent hardening, product performance and scalability, and improved workflow to facilitate efficient insider threat investigations.

SureView is a comprehensive insider threat protection solution that helps detect, prevent and resolve insider policy violations. The SureView platform monitors all activity across an organization’s desktops and network. SureView is the only solution that provides DVR-like incident replay, which provides powerful forensic support for investigations into more serious fraud, theft and other malicious threats.

SureView 6.0 has expanded its award-winning data collection and content monitoring capabilities to include a text collector to capture displayed text from custom, proprietary applications and parse text for content monitoring, analysis and reporting. This expands SureView’s capability to monitor, analyze, and report on content to monitor suspicious user behavior on proprietary applications, which often contain highly sensitive information such as customer financial records or intellectual property.

CoreView is a network appliance-based insider threat protection solution that provides visual analysis of all content transfer and communication activities as they occur on the network. CoreView 6.0 enhancements include new support for Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) to provide comprehensive context for e-mail, new archiving capabilities that store event data collections, improved data indexing, and new diagnostic reporting for network collector health, communication, and performance statistics.

Ask your Sales representative for a test drive of SureView or CoreView today.
